Ode to the shirtdress...

My friend Dianne and I have launched a capsule dress collection.... we think "cult following" would be nice rather than "take over the world", but I guess that would be ok. Really I think Di just wants to go on Oprah, but she's clearly running out of time. What are we doing? Our label is called JDCamicetta. The seedling idea was to make the perfect shirtdress - easy to wear, easy to style, dress it up or down, accessorise in an of-the-moment way. The shirtdress as blank canvas and off you go.... 

But of course as soon as we started looking at fabrics we got caught up in how much further we could take it. The design I am using as my blog border is actually one of my favourite silks, it looks great in a shirtdress.

We now have half a dozen styles in a variety of fabrics and ultimately they will all be a top, a frock and a maxi. Bellissimo!

Five Girls...

It has taken me ages to figure out what to call my blog, but then sometimes the simplest things hit you. We have a rural property in Australia that we plan to develop and christen “Five Girls”. "Let’s go up to Five Girls today"… has a nice ring to it. Why the Five Girls? Cos we have four daughters… my husband is surrounded by women, he loves it… And why do we bother with our dreams of the country life in Australia when we live in Hong Kong? Mmmm, not sure...
